Membership Experience Committee

Committee Statement and Goals:

The Mission of The Membership Experience Committee is to provide knowledge, inspiration and camaraderie through unique design experiences in both the US and abroad. We plan at least three events annually. The first is the Paris Experience in January for Design Week where ASID NY Metro members have the opportunity to attend Parisian trade shows such as Deco Off and Maison de Objet with events exclusive to our Chapter.  Beautiful hotels, private showroom tours, VIP Cocktail Parties along with exquisite Parisian landmarks are all part of this curated experience. This trip is traditionally hosted by the incoming and outgoing Presidents and our committee works to realize their vision.    The second is a trip to Highpoint Furniture Market where we orchestrate the Veterans and Virgins Tour with our seasoned designers leading new attendees through thoughtfully planned show room visits to expand our design vision and develop new sources. The third experience is exploring NYC landmarks and historic architecture closer to home with insider tours culminating in show room presentations with our Industry Partners and idea exchange with design colleagues.  We seek to  provide opportunities to be inspired with elevated experiences that are planned specifically for our amazing Chapter.
