CARL DELLATORE

Carl Dellatore moved to New York City in the summer of 1983. For more than a decade he designed patterned textiles for the apparel industry before opening D&F Workroom, a Chelsea-based studio producing custom upholstery and window treatments for the interior design industry. In addition, he soon established CJ‬ Dellatore Textile, his own line of furnishing fabrics.

After Dellatore’s work and textiles were featured in such magazines as House & Garden and Martha Stewart Living, he was asked by Marian McEvoy, editor-in-chief of House Beautiful, to contribute a regular column on the use of current fabrics in the home. Entitled Swatch Watch, and produced in collaboration with decorating editors Carolyn Sollis and Elaine Wrightman, the highly popular column ran for three years and was compiled as The Fabric Style Book by Hearst in 2007.

Encouraged by the book’s success, and inspired by Edith Wharton’s pioneering guide, The Decoration of Houses, Dellatore began a more ambitious project: He invited a broad selection of America’s leading interior designers each to contribute an essay on one aspect of his or her professional work. The result, published this year by Rizzoli, is the best-selling Interior Design Master Class: 100 Lessons from America’s Finest Designers on the Art of Decoration, an encyclopedic survey of contemporary decorative practice that has become an instant classic.

His own homes have appeared in the New York Times Magazine on three separate occasions, and in recent years world class international magazines have honored Tony with numerous awards and accolades for his good works.  Baratta’s signature East Coast-Chic style along with his charming demeanor and gracious humility have solidified his place in design history.

Anthony’s work has been celebrated in the Cooper-Hewitt Museum's National Design Triennial: Inside Design Now. Anthony also joins Annie Oakley and Martha Stewart in the Nutley, NJ Hall of Fame.

Baratta now turns his design expertise to creating spectacular new licensing collections with industry leaders. Excitement is in the air since his spring 2016 High Point Market launch!

Anthony’s long-awaited furniture collection with the venerable all-American Thomasville Furniture brand came to fruition with a resounding, overwhelmingly successful debut.  The celebrated launch consists of 40+ collection of upholstery, case pieces, mirrors and accent furniture. The signature offering consists of time-tested iconic pieces pulled from Baratta’s impressive archives with new creations scattered throughout the mix. In addition, Anthony’s signature bedding collections with industry leader Wildcat Territory created a spot-on Baratta branded environment in the Thomasville showroom. The initial two collections, Starboard and Westhampton, are the perfect complement to his bedroom furnishings for retailers and designers alike.  Next on the docket? A spectacular collection of custom Baratta rug designs with another iconic, all-American company; Capel Rugs, due to launch fall 2017 at High Point Market.  Everything from new fabrics, art, lighting, tabletop and more under the Anthony Baratta brand coming soon!

Anthony is thrilled to be working on his third book which will be a look towards the future of his new ventures and most recent projects and collaborations. His two former books with William, Diamond Baratta Design, Bullfinch Press and All-American, Pointed Leaf Press focused on pure project magic. This latest library addition will revolve around what’s new and what’s next for Anthony Baratta.

A designer for the ages, Tony looks forward to many more years of creating jaw-dropping and inspiring interiors around the world; and creating chic, fresh, and affordable home décor for his followers and fans alike.

‘We cannot grow or develop within non-stimulating environments’ – Johann Wolfgang Goethe.

Throughout mankind's existence, color has played a critical part, in creating harmony within & stimulating our very growth and development.

‘As a color scientist, influences affecting color are a part of who I am,’ says Gillian. ‘Social issues, our environment, the economy and cultural diversity, all contribute to the sociology of our color choices and speak not only to who we are, but the goals we strive to achieve.’

Gillian’s diverse experience within residential and boutique commercial world, exceeds all expectations, increases productivity and establishes site-specific desired solutions.

In addition, Gillian has created a paint line for Fine Paints of Europe, called Color Our World.

‘Imagine having a color palette designed specifically for you’, says Gillian. ‘One that reflects who you are, how you want to feel, and supports your serenity and well-being - wouldn't you want that?’

That's what we do. We are as individual as the colors that reflect us.

BARRY GORALNICK

Barry Goralnick is a world-renowned architect and designer whose Blended Modern™ lifestyle captures the ultimate in successful living. He has had his own firm for over twenty years.  After graduating Harvard Graduate School of Design, he worked with Wayne Berg and Robert A. M. Stern.

From his NoMad design studio in Manhattan, he designs for a variety of premiere home and hospitality companies, including Vanguard Furniture, Visual Comfort, Stark Carpet, and Ferrell Mittman, among others.  He is a “Best of Year” winner from Interior Design, and a four-time nominee for Innovation in Design from New York Cottages & Gardens.

His work has been showcased in Architectural DigestElle DécorThe New York Times, as well as international publications, among them Residence (Shanghai), Vogue (Italy), and Schöhner Wohnen (Germany).

LAURA BOHN

Over her career, New York City–based interior designer Laura Bohn has produced a wide range of residential and commercial interiors in the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. These include the V&V Restaurant in Kobe, the Angelo Pietro Restaurant in Kyushu, and the Archinet Building in Tokyo, Japan; retail shops and residences in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; a farmhouse in Bucks County, Pennsylvania; and the residential conversion of a historic bank building in Manhattan. Bohn’s purview includes product design, textiles, wall coverings, and set design for motion pictures, Year of the Dragon among them. This large and diverse body of work has been published in books, newspapers, and magazines around the world. For her design of fabrics and wallpapers, Bohn has been honored with two Interior Design Roscoe Awards. In 1998, she was inducted into the Interior Design Hall of Fame, and on March 20, she received the Pratt Institute 2014 Alumni Distinguished Career Award.

After a decade-‐long career that took her to Paris as a fit model for Nina Ricci, where the rigor of haute couture deepened her understanding of the possibilities of design, the Texas-‐born Bohn entered Pratt Institute. Under the demanding tutelage of such luminaries as Joe D’Urso she became equally familiar with the structural and decorative aspects of interior design. “This dual knowledge gave me a leg up in my career, particularly in working one-‐on-‐one with architects,” the cum laude graduate says now.

Bohn opened her own architectural and interior design firm in 1980—first in collaboration with Joseph Lembo then, in 1996, solo as Laura Bohn Design Associates. Characterized by highly personal, signature flourishes—antiques set against her own minimalist furniture; unexpected color palettes; and the use of luxurious fabrics and finishes—Bohn’s distinctive aesthetic led Interior Design magazine to dub her “the queen of soft modern.” Bohn has been a member on the Advisory Board at Fashion Institute of Technology, as well as a visiting critic at New York design schools, including Parsons, FIT, Pratt Institute, and New York School of Interior Design. She has served on the boards of Youth at Risk and the SPCA, and has headed the education committee for the Decorator’s Club.
