Join ASID NY Metro on August 19th as a panel of Interior Design experts discuss current operation challenges in today's world along with offering suggestions and strategies to help navigate your business. Come hungry as we will be featuring a food truck complete with tacos and margaritas, as well as other refreshing beverages and delectable desserts. Add on networking, expert guidance, and a LIVE mariachi band, and this will be an evening you do not want to miss!

About the Panelists:

Sal Campitello For over a decade, Salvatore Campitiello of East End Interiors has been a local industry leader in the interior design field. After servind as President of the Long Island Chapter of the Interior Design Society, Sal realized the importance of investing his time in talking about effective business strategies with both existing and future interior designers. Sal’s excellent reputation as an entrepreneur, problem solver, and business advisor has led the talented East End Interiors team to create an incomparable Designer Showroom experience, exclusively for the Trade. Sal attributes East End Interiors’ flourishing business to it’s unique model that is centered on the success of the designer. 

Nicole Passman  Nicole Koenig Passman has worked in carpet sales for the past 20 years.  She and her sister Brooke managed their family carpet store on the Upper East side for 8 years, before both joining Stark in 2009. Nicole specializes in custom area rugs and installations, and loves the creativity she gets to utilize while working with her amazing clients at the Syosset showroom.

Bob Mancaluso Bob Macaluso started his career as a sales rep in the interior design industry in 1981 for F. Schumacher & Co and, shortly after joining the company, he served as an Industry Foundation member of A.S.I.D. After 17 years there, Bob went on his own to become an independent rep. During a period of approximately 10 years, he was the representative for Brunschwig & Fils, Carleton V, and Osborne & Little. Most recently, he became a corporate territory representative for Scalamandre, covering Connecticut and several counties in New York State, including Nassau and Suffolk. Bob based his decision to become part of Scalamandre on recognizing its unique blend of traditional and modern products, offered through the many brands that comprise the “House of Scalamandre.” He lives in Branford, CT with his wife Karen and his two dogs, Gracie and Luca.  

Anthony Santa Maria  Huntington, NY native Anthony Santa Maria got his start by working for contractors during school breaks. After graduating from the University of Arizona, he stayed in Tucson, where he bought and remodeled single-family homes, gaining expertise in architectural plans, working with zoning boards and expanding his knowledge of residential property development. Anthony returned to Long Island in 2009, working in business development for development companies before joining the True North team. As Operations Manager and recent partner, his responsibilities include preparing client proposals and construction schedules and managing projects in the field.

Katharine Posillico McGowan Katharine Poscillo McGowan, principal of Katharine Jessica Interior Design, LLC. KJID is a multi-faceted boutique firm specializing in the planning of each project from the start of construction through the finished project. Katharine has been involved in the design world for over 20 years. After graduating from Lehigh University in 1990, Katharine began developing her keen eye for unique style and function. From there she studied at the New York School of Interior Design. She launched Katharine Jessica Interior Design in 2003. Her work has been featured in many regional and national publications including New York Spaces magazine where she was recognized as one of the “10 New Designers Under 40 to Watch.” She has also been featured in multiple Mansions & Millionaires Designer Showcases and received the “Notable Designer,” distinction in the magazine. Most recently, Katharine was recognized by Newsday as one of the “All-Star Designers – Class of 2015.”

Nancy Ganzekaufer Nancy Ganzekaufer is a sought-after Business Coach, Speaker, Body Language Trainer, and Author. Nancy specializes in coaching service-based entrepreneurs, teaching them to maximize their profitability while identifying and best serving their ideal clients with confidence.Through her proven techniques, Nancy has empowered thousands to know (and charge!) their worth, succeed in sales without feeling sales-y, and position themselves in their market with authenticity and authority.
