We organized an inspiring event as part of the NYCxDESIGN Festival at ABC Stone’s Brooklyn Warehouse—a wonderland of eye-catching stone. Attendees explored project presentations by ASID NY designers, as well as discovered the latest product introductions from manufacturers among the sparkling stone slabs.
The event featured an engaging panel discussion with influential ASID designers Corey Damen Jenkins, Caleb Anderson, Vanessa DeLeon, and ABC Stone’s Lyndsey Belle Tyler, who shared insights into their notable product collaborations and best practices. The discussion was moderated by Sarah Shelton, Senior Market Editor of Luxe Interiors + Design.
Additionally, there were book signings with ASID NY members Barbara Ostrom, author of “Curtain Up!: Thirty Years of Spectacular Showhouse Rooms,” and Dr. Carol Bentel, FAIA, FIIDA, ASID, CID, author of “Correlations: Life + Work.” Attendees enjoyed a delicious lunch, an end-of-day cocktail, and the reveal of the “Best in SHOWcase” winner. Top honors went to Fiona Sanipelli, of Handwerk Art + Design, for her work on “Stone Canyon House, “ a California home which boasts global influences and features bespoke furniture and furnishings throughout. Honorable Mentions went to Studio 1820 by Faten Baassiri for Best Use of ABC Stone; St. Etienne and Sarah Esmoingt for Best Trade Collaboration, and Maria Lomanto, who was recognized for being an influential sustainability advocate.
