Curated Closets Event Recap
Designers and industry members gathered on May 28 at California Closets in Hawthorne, New York for a panel discussion - Curated Closets: Insight, Innovation, & Expertise. Our Westchester Liaison Kim Mitchell, Allied ASID, of KAM DESIGN, moderated a discussion with Brenda MacLeish, Closet Designer, who has been with the company since the beginning, as well as Masha Alimova, VP of Marketing and Technology, shared insights and experience. They talked about what type of LED lights can be incorporated into the closet designs, what clients are requesting most right now, and how early designers should bring them into a project, in addition to many other topics. The group toured the beautiful showroom including designs for a Murphy bed, elevated clothes and jewelry closets, and offices that involved many customized details such as glass, mirrors, integrated lighting, and an array of finishes and accessories. The evening included attendees introducing themselves and mingling with refreshments and appetizers.
