Asler Valero – President-Elect

I look forward to working on the legacy of a strong Chapter that embraces new members, sponsors, ideas, and people. A Chapter that trains new leaders, integrates the community, and is inclusive. Education, training, and knowledge are very important for everyone, especially in our community where technologies and trends are changing fast. CEUs are essential. Networking in NYC is key to keeping our community together and growing.

Lindsay Sheroda – Finance Director

I have been a member of ASID for ten years. I love the organization especially the events, where I got to meet new designers and network. I also enjoy continuing education with the group. I've become close with a lot of the members and leaders. I always saw myself as a sitting board member. I am organized, work well in group settings, and consider myself to be a leader.

I have been a high-end residental designer for 14 years, working with a wide range of clients and budgets. The finances are the aspect of the buisness can be very challenging, however with my experiense this is an area I excel in.

I am budget worthy, dependable, & understanding. I am positive I will be an asset to this upcoming board.

Kayla Lowry – Membership Director

I am honored to be the incoming Membership Director for ASID NY Metro. Being a part of the Board this past year as Student Representative has been such an educational experience, as well as a treasured part of my design journey. As a career  changer, I've longed for a community of like-minded and supportive individuals. ASID has been exactly what I've been looking for.

I think being involved in the industry and being involved in ASID are synonymous. It just makes sense to be a member and take advantage of all of the resources available to us. As Membership Director, I will continue to foster a supportive and exciting environment for new and prospective members while strengthening the relationship with long-term members. I think this can be done with more personal outreach as well as finding ways our members can share their thoughts more easily. With their feedback, I will present to the Board ways that we can better support our members.
